I hope that you open yourself to receive + give grace + love today + always, even when your heart feels heavy
Winter Writing Garden Week 6

Friends, I have been offline — processing.
Knowing that you are compassionate people, I’m sure that you can relate.
Have the recent days felt particularly heavy? Particularly emotionally dense and deep? Particularly fertile for deep feeling?
Yes, yes, yes.
It’s time for an energetic check in, a temperature check
How is your start to January going? How is your energy?
Honestly, my energy has been lower than usual this week.
I had to slow down this week, and I am giving myself grace through that. I am seeking balance between action and rest. Balance between doing and being. Balance between caring, bleeding-heart energy, and protection and healthy self-recovery. I feel a call to balance in all things this week—in my family life and routines, in my interactions with others, on the larger scale as I see global interactions playing out, and balance especially in regard to our climate.
Many times my heart has gone out to families and individuals across the country who have lost so much in the fires this week. My heart continues to go out to people across the world who are experiencing the ravages of war. My heart has also gone out to my own family members experiencing significant change this week.
If feel that there is too much loss in this world….
And how do we cope with that?
We hold to hope.
I am reminded of this. Hope and love. Hope and love. It is like a new mantra for me.
This time is a call to grace
This time is also a call to grace. If you need more rest, more time, more pauses before responding, you have the choice to take it. Give yourself that grace.
I needed more rest this week. I gave myself grace, understanding that it is natural.
I felt a depth of emotions again this week that felt supernatural — like more than myself, you know what I mean? I know y’all feel this too.
If you are emotionally sensitive, you may be tapped into the collective energy that is in the air now. The collective energy of loss, of pain, of memory, of survival, of fatigue, and worry.
Do not crazy-make yourself. You are feeling this for yourself, and perhaps for the collective. You are transmuting this energy. Use your power to transmute negative energy into positive— through your body, mind, and spirit.
Process, transmute, FEEL, give grace.
This is a reminder that we are all called to heal and support one another. This is a reminder to take care of yourself, so that you can better take care of others.
Protect yourself and nurture your nervous system. Ground down in your body and stay in your spirit. I send you love. 💗
Please let me know if there’s any way I can send support to you. 💕
I am so grateful for the support of family and friends, and especially my husband who helped me and cared for me this week as I processed these heavy emotions.
Know too, this weekend things shifted in a positive motion. Things turned for the better, and things will not remain as they were.
I felt I stepped out of a need to be always “on time” today, instead of I felt more in time and with time today. I released more perfectionism. I welcome a balance between structure and surrender.
I hope that you take this as a sign of hope. I hope that you open yourself to receive and give so much grace + so much love today and always, even when your heart feels heavy.💗
I know it has been a heavy week, but know that it is changing and shifting for the better. I felt a shift yesterday, did you feel it too? 💖
In last week’s Winter Writing Garden post, I shared steps for shame-free intention setting for 2025. Also, I am hosting a Love Activation workshop for the Lunar New Year on January 29th, and I invite you to join us for this transformative session.
I have so many good intentions for this year! Including business growth, installing a kitchen garden in my back yard, and making more friends + connections in my new home town 🩵
What are some of the seeds of hope that you are allowing to fertilize under the darkness of this present moment? In the depths of winter, what is germinating for the future now?
If you feel up to it, share with us— what are some of your new year’s intentions, resolutions, and hopes? I’d love to hear!
